[ james is just all open arms and anticipation at this point, waiting for the mass that will be sirius. james will catch him, because this has been practiced and he's gotten quite good at it, but that doesn't mean he won't need a step or two back to steady himself.

and then it's laughing and untangling and oh wait yes ship ship ship ship SHIP ]

What're we waiting for? Let's go!

[Sirius is laughing, breathlessly--he twists away from James, all manic happy energy, grabbing hold of his hands and shaking them around, pumping them up and down--yes yes yes yes ship ship ship--]

[This is like all the best things, this is like when he first sees James after a long holiday, and when he pulls off a great prank, and exploring caves during summer holiday, and maybe it's because of anticipation or maybe it's because of the reunion aspect of this, it's him and James, together again, just the way it ought to be.]

[And then they go running off into the sunset (moonset? starset?), to adventure! Even if they get split up. Doesn't matter.]
